Greenwich Funky Monkey Toy Store Benefits Police Scholarship Fund
The local toy and book store will donate 10 percent of sales from Easter, Passover gift baskets to the Greenwich Police Department's fund.

GREENWICH, CT – A Greenwich toy store is offering local residents an opportunity to put together a special Easter or Passover gift basket for their child while also providing support for the Greenwich Police Department.
Funky Monkey Toys and Books, which opened in 2019 and which is located at 86 Greenwich Ave., is creating unique gift baskets and bundles for the upcoming holiday. The store announced that as part of the promotion, it will donate 10 percent from sales of the baskets to the Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund.
In-store purchases of the baskets and bundles will count toward the donation as long as customers mention to the Scholarship Donation program. Online purchases will include a box for customers to check indicating that they would like 10 percent of the sale to go to the police department. The baskets start at $50 and can be individualized for boys and girls. The promotion will run through April 2.

“Greenwich has such a strong sense of community and we are very appreciative of those partnerships that make our town so special,” Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey said. “It is fitting that a store that looks to bring joy to all children is also honoring the Greenwich Police Department’s 125th anniversary with contributions to the GPD scholarship fund. Our kids are the future.”
