Greenwich Land Trust Debuts Virginia Gwynn Trail July 26
Due to Wednesday's expected rains, the event - held during the annual members' picnic - has been postponed to Thursday.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Land Trust will debut a new trail at its Mueller Preserve site Thursday during the organization's annual members' picnic, according to the group. The event has been moved from the original Wednesday date to July 26 due to expected inclement weather.
The new Virginia Gwynn Trail, named after the former executive director, "connects microhabitats represented in GLT’s 50+ preserves located throughout Greenwich, including a tall grass meadow, Connecticut hardwood forest, native wetland, as well as a wildflower garden, pollinator garden, native shrub border, apple orchard, and vegetable garden," writes the group in a release.
Known as Ginny, Gwynn was instrumental in creating the Mueller Preserve, which is a four-acre farmstead on Round Hill Road donated by Louise Mueller, writes the Greenwich Time.
