Greenwich Landlord Accused of Assaulting Tenant: Police

The incident occurred in June at a property on Nedley Lane.

GREENWICH, CT — A 52-year-old Greenwich man was arrested on a warrant last week in connection with an alleged assault on a tenant in a building he owns on Nedley Lane, according to police.

Scott Tortorici was charged with third-degree assault forallegedly attacking a man who rents a room at Tortorici's Nedley Lane property, reports the Greenwich Time.

The incident allegedly occurred on June 21, and the victim claimed Tortorici attacked him while he slept. Tortorici denies the allegation, but he allegedly punched the victim in the face, bloodying and bruising the man to the point that he required treatment at a hospital.

Tortorici was released after posting a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 12.
