Greenwich Man Burglarizes Stamford Restaurants: Police
A local man has been charged in connection to six burglaries that occurred at two Stamford restaurants, according to police.
STAMFORD, CT — A Greenwich man has been charged in connection to six burglaries that occurred at two restaurants in Stamford earlier this year, police said. The accused, 53-year-old Sal Longo, was arrested by Stamford Police on a warrant Wednesday.
According to Sgt. Sean Scanlan, the burglaries occurred in April at Zody's 19th Hole on Stillwater Road and Murphy's Townhouse Cafe on Franklin Street, with each location being hit three times.
Some cash was stolen in one of the Zody's burglaries, Scanlon said. Money was also taken during one of the incidents at Murphy's, however the accused did not make entry into the main building on the second two attempts, Scanlon said.

After reviewing video surveillance, police contacted the accused, received a statement from him and obtained a warrant for his arrest, Scanlon said.
According to Scanlon, it is not common for a burglar to break into the same location multiple times within a short span of time.

The accused was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree larceny, three counts of second-degree criminal mischief and two counts of criminal attempt at third-degree burglary.
