Greenwich National Guard Soldier Receives New Rank

A Greenwich resident was recently promoted to the rank of sergeant.

GREENWICH, CT — Major General Ray Shields, the Adjutant General for the State of New York, has announced the recent promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Eduardo Lopezreyes from Greenwich, and assigned to the Company D, 152nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of sergeant on March 9, according to a news release.
