Greenwich Police To Host Stuff-A-Cruiser Event

The Greenwich Police Department is scheduled to host a "stuff-a-cruiser" event this weekend.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is scheduled to host a "stuff-a-cruiser" event Saturday on Greenwich Avenue.

In an email, Lt. Mark Zuccerella said the event is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the area of 299 Greenwich Avenue. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

"There is still a need for new unwrapped toys for the less fortunate," Zuccerella said in an email.

Last weekend, the department held a toy drive to "support parents who need help buying their children holiday gifts this year.

Residents are also invited to hang an ornament on a tree set up in the police department's lobby this month. Police said the tree will also be used as a drop-off location for new and unwrapped toys.

Residents can drop off toys for the tree 24 hours a day until Dec. 18.
