Greenwich Summer Baseball Registration Opens May 26

From the Town of Greenwich: Greenwich Recreation announces that registration for summer baseball will be open Friday, May 26 online. Online registration is only available to Greenwich residents. To register online go to: www.greenwichct.org/webtrac and select “Activity Registration.” Mail-in registration begins Monday June 12. Mail-in registration should not be postmarked earlier than June 12. In-person registration begins Monday June 19 and is open to non-residents. Registration closes on Friday, June 30 or when the program has filled.

Summer baseball provides three playing divisions: Pinto, co-ed for ages 6 & 7, Mustang, co-ed for ages 8 & 9, & Bronco, for boys ages 10 through 12. The Pinto division is instructional coach-pitch for beginners. The Mustang division incorporates combined player & coach pitching as well as instruction during game-play. The Bronco division is player pitch with more formal playing structure & rules.

The summer baseball season will begin on July 10. Teams will participate in both practice and games and the season ends approximately August 18. Teams will have practices and play 1-2 games per week, mostly on weeknights at various Town fields. There may be an occasional weekend game for the Mustang and Bronco divisions.
