On Saturday, February 27, 2021, the Junior League of Greenwich will hold Money $ense for Teens (Grades 9-12). This free virtual one-day session will teach teens the interrelationship between today’s financial decisions and tomorrow’s financial freedom. To achieve financial health and wellness, they will learn about money-management strategies, including employment and income, budgeting, smart shopping, investing, and risk management.

The financial literacy program uses material developed by Junior Achievement USA. It will be taught by JLG members and take place from 11:00am-2:00pm over Zoom.

The first virtual version of this program took place in October. When asked why they signed up for Money $ense, students at the time said it was “…a good opportunity to learn about finance,” and it would help them “be more responsible” with their money.
