Little Pub Online Food Market Coming To Greenwich
The restaurant described its new Little Pub Market as offering "everything you need but don't want to go to the store to get."
GREENWICH, CT — Little Pub is responding to the grocery shortages that have accompanied the spread of the new coronavirus by giving customers another option for buying food staples: Little Pub Market.
The restaurant is operating an online market where shoppers can purchase household basics such as chicken, beef, bread, milk, produce, toilet paper and beer, according to co-owner Doug Grabe. Little Pub described the market as offering, "everything you need but don't want to go to the store to get."
Shoppers order and pay online, and the items are brought to each customer's vehicle when they arrive at the restaurant, Grabe said. In some cases, delivery is also available. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

"Most of the Little Pub Market items are individually packaged for retail and typically what customers would find in grocery stores," Grabe said in an email.
The market is open noon to 5 p.m. daily. As of Monday, Little Pub was offering the market option at its Stratford and Fairfield restaurants, according to Grabe, with plans to expand to its Greenwich, Wilton and Old Saybrook locations later in the week.

Empty shelves have become a common sight recently at grocery stores as supply chains are strained and customers who are spending more time at home as a precaution against the new coronavirus stock up on products. As of Monday, there were 6,906 confirmed cases in Connecticut of the virus, which is expected to peak between late April and mid May across the state.
In the meantime, customers can visit https://bit.ly/2Vc3XV7 or call the closest Little Pub location to shop at Little Pub Market. The restaurant is also continuing to serve takeout and delivery of its full menu while its physical locations are closed under state order as a preventative measure against the virus. In addition to its regular menu, Little Pub is offering several family meals that feed up to six people.
