Looking for Stars at Home for a Virtual Talent Show!

Make-A-Wish Connecticut invites community to share special talents from home this summer

Due to COVID-19, there are more than 100 local children with critical illnesses waiting for their wishes to come true. What better way to bring hope and smiles to faces than a fun and entertaining state-wide Virtual Talent Show?

During this uniquely unprecedented summer, Make-A-Wish Connecticut is bringing together the stars in our community to show support for local waiting wish kids through their first-ever virtual talent show!

Do you have a special talent? Do you have friends and family with special talents? Cooking, singing, gardening, dancing, playing an instrument, dog and/or magic tricks, juggling, sandcastle building... Submit your talent video by no later than July 24th by following the instructions here: https://ct.wish.org/news-and-e.

Voting opens on July 29th and ends on August 4th. Vote for your favorite acts with a $5 donation - a virtual "high five" for our stars at home with amazing hidden talents. Every $5 donation is one vote for your favorite act. The three talent videos with the most virtual "high-fives" by 11:59 p.m. on August 4 will receive a fabulous prize package and, of course, bragging rights. Winners will be announced on August 5.

Thanks to an incredibly generous donation from The Yvette & Arthur Eder Foundation, every high five will have twice the impact. Every dollar you give until August 4 — up to a total of $10,000 — will be matched. The organization hopes to receive at least 2,020 high fives in honor of Make-A-Wish’s 40th anniversary. The funds from these high-fives will help raise funds to grant two wishes for local children waiting for their wishes to come true.
