Man Told Not To Smoke At Bar, Causes Scene: Greenwich PD
Police said a man is accused of "causing a belligerent scene" in front of customers at a Greenwich restaurant.

GREENWICH, CT — A New Jersey man is accused of "causing a belligerent scene" in front of customers at a Greenwich restaurant, police said. Officers responded to the L'Escale restaurant on Steamboat Road around 10 p.m. on Monday after receiving a report of a disorderly customer who was refusing to leave, according to an arrest report.
After officers arrived at the restaurant, a manager told them Adrian C. Holle, 50, of South Orange, N.J., requested to smoke in the bar area and was told not to. The accused responded by "causing a belligerent scene" in front of multiple customers, police said. He was then asked to leave the restaurant but refused, according to police.
"Upon making contact with Holle in the bar, he was uncooperative and belligerent toward officers," police said in the report. "He refused to leave the premises when ordered to do so multiple times and he was placed under arrest."

Police said the accused continued to create a loud disturbance in the bar area while being take into custody and refused to be secured in a police vehicle outside the restaurant.
Holle was charged with first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree breach of peace and interfering/resisting.
