MIKU Sushi Partners With Allan Houston Legacy Foundation For June
MIKU Sushi in Greenwich is partnering with former New York Knick star Allan Houston and his foundation this month.

GREENWICH, CT — MIKU Sushi, a restaurant located at 68 Greenwich Ave., is partnering with former New York Knick star Allan Houston and his foundation this month for a good cause. Houston is a Greenwich resident.
The restaurant and the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation (AHLF) are raising awareness for The FISLL Project (TFP). According to a news release, the project "seeks to empower youth from the inside out through a life learning, development, and coaching platform that teaches and actuates the five essential values of Faith, Integrity, Sacrifice, Leadership, and Legacy as the transformational Fundamentals of Life."
To that end, a special menu for MIKU was created to promote the cause this month. All proceeds will benefit the AHLF.

"I’m extremely excited to have MIKU support our FISLL Project in helping us promote the values of Faith, Integrity, Sacrifice, Leadership and Legacy in our youth and the communities we serve. MIKU has exemplified these values not only as a trusted industry leader in the town of Greenwich and beyond, but also a community leader who aims to serve the needs of others," Houston said in a news release.
Youth involved in the FISLL Project go through a mentoring initiative with hands-on workshops to engage them in guided dialogue and structured activities designed to build trust, teach valuable life skills, enhance spiritual growth, and define success.

It's my great pleasure to support Allan's organization and youth empowerment initiative as he's been so supportive of MIKU over the past two years," said K Dong, co-owner of MIKU, in a news release. "I created this non-profit partnership program to give back to the community but mainly the idea was developed by listening to my customers and wanting to show them our appreciation."
Dong added that this is the fourth special menu this year, as thousands of dollars have already been raised for organizations like St. Jude, Alzheimer's Assoviation, and The Fearless Angel Project.
"Our main goal is to raise awareness for our partners," Dong said.
The AHLF was founded in 2001, and since then, it has served thousands of participants across the country through various programs that promote youth, mentoring, responsible fatherhood, and entrepreneurship.
Houston played 12 seasons in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks. He's a two-time All Star, and an Olympic gold medalist. He's currently the Knicks' Vice President of Player Leadership and Development.
