Mystery Deepens Over Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen's Move To CT
Conflicting reports have surfaced regarding the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and his supermodel wife having moved to Greenwich.

GREENWICH, CT — Are they or aren't they? A report out of Boston this week said Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen and family are already at home in their Greenwich mansion. First Selectman Fred Camillo, who was reacting to the various media reports, welcomed Brady and Bündchen to town.
Even Gov. Ned Lamont, a Greenwich resident, rolled out the red carpet for one of the country's most popular couples.
Other governors have tried to lure the @Patriots here to CT—30 years later, we’re glad to finally land one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. Welcome, neighbor @TomBrady! https://t.co/kWe9Ci42Vt

But is any of this true? NBC Sports Boston's Tom E. Curran threw cold water all over the various media reports saying that Brady and Bündchen haven't purchased a house in Connecticut. A prominent Boston radio station also says the reports aren't true.

The rumors that the power couple had moved to Greenwich resurfaced Tuesday after WEEI radio personality Greg Hill said on his show that Brady and his family have already moved out of their home in Brookline, Mass., and into a recently purchased home in Greenwich.
In an audio clip from his show, Hill said the Brady family "had already moved in and were living in a purchased home in Greenwich."
Later that night, Camillo said he was delighted to welcome Brady and his family to Greenwich, despite the Patriots' rivalry with his favorite team: the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"While he does not wear the black and gold, we in town are happy and honored that one of pro football all time greatest quarterbacks has chosen Greenwich as his new home," Camillo said in an email to Patch. "I look forward to calling him a fellow resident and wish him nothing but success in all future endeavors, except when he plays the Steelers. "

After Hill dropped the rumor on his show, Curran refuted the report, stating on Boston Sports Tonight that the Brady family does not have a house in Connecticut. Curran also noted he was "told a few weeks ago" that the reports of Brady moving to Connecticut were untrue but "never had an occasion to really share it."
On Wednesday, WEEI posted an update to their post regarding the news, stating the station's own Dale Arnold and Christian Fauria had confirmed Brady does not own a house in Connecticut.
Camillo also appeared as a guest on Hill's show Wednesday to discuss the possibility of the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback moving to town. During the interview, Hill asked if Camillo had "found anyway to verify within the confines of the Greenwich community" that Brady had purchased a home in town.
"No, it was in the papers and they had listed the realtors and the location," Camillo said on Hill's show. "I just picked it up like everybody else."
Camillo also noted that there were "plenty of celebrities and athletes" in Greenwich, and the famous Brady family would "be left alone" by residents if they were to make move to town.

Rumors of the Brady family moving to Greenwich first surfaced over the summer following reports that he and his wife were house-hunting in Greenwich, as well as Alpine, N.J., while looking at schools in New York City. Brady and Bündchen looked at homes with a lot of room for their kids to play, Fox Business reported in August.
The Boston Globe offered this explanation in August as to why Brady and Bundchen may be eyeing homes in Greenwich and New Jersey. "An elegant suburban mansion would mean more room for the couple's three growing kids — Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian — and their large extended family."
Things got complicated in November when WEEI was first to report the famous couple had purchased a home in Connecticut. Celebrity real estate website Homesoftherich.net also released details of the reported purchase.
Shortly after, real estate company Compass said the $9 million mansion referenced in the report had not been purchased by the power couple.
"I don't know if they bought in Greenwich, but according to information I have, Tom and Gisele did not purchase the house that is referred to/shown in homesoftherich.net which is a Compass listing," Ashley Murphy, who works for Compass, told Patch in November.
According to Houlihan Lawrence, the property is listed as "in contract."
A reporter's check of property records at town hall on Thursday, Jan. 16, did not reveal any information regarding the rumored purchase.
If the reports do prove true, the move comes at an interesting time for Brady, who is set to become a free agent for the first time in his NFL career on March 18. While he can re-sign with the Patriots at any point, he can't talk with other teams before March 16, according to WEEI.
After losing to the Tennessee Titans in a wild card game on Jan. 4, Brady ended his 20th season in the league, all of which have been with the New England Patriots. He is the only NFL player to win six Super Bowls.
UPDATE: It's very unlikely Brady bought a house in Connecticut as he ended up moving south and playing for the Tampa Buccaneers during the 2020-21 season. And there has been no confirmation that Brady purchased a home in Greenwich.
