New Child Care Center To Open In Greenwich
Bright Horizons, a child care center offering infant through pre-kindergarten programs, will open a new location in Greenwich this summer.
GREENWICH, CT — Bright Horizons, a child care center offering infant through pre-kindergarten learning and care programs, will open a new location in Greenwich this year.
According to Cassie McKeown, the company's marketing manager, the new center will be located at 75 Holly Hill Lane and is easily accessible from Interstate 95, making drop-off and pick-up easy for families.
"We also provide a convenient location for those who work in the businesses on Holly Hill Lane," McKeown said. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Though Bright Horizons plans to open the new Greenwich center this summer, an exact opening date has not been set yet, McKeown said. The company is currently accepting registration forms, the first step in the enrollment process, and will begin scheduling virtual and in-person visits next week, according to the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce website.
According to McKeown, the company typically opens centers in areas where it believes there is a demand for child care, which led them to Greenwich.

"We've noticed that there are limited programs for infants in this area," McKeown said, "so we are thrilled to offer this program for our youngest learners."
Chamber of Commerce president Marcia O'Kane said Bright Horizons should be a wonderful addition to the family and children-oriented Greenwich community.
"Daycare and preschool ages are key developmental stages for all children," O'Kane said. "Bright Horizons offers a caring focus by engaging young ones in a safe and healthy environment."
In light of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, Bright Horizons has adopted enhanced safety protocols that continue to evolve as more knowledge about the virus develops, McKeown said.
These policies include daily health screenings and temperature checks for all adults and children in the center. Additionally, adults in the center must wear masks or face coverings at all times.
Bright Horizons also practices physical distancing by reducing classroom sizes, keeping consistent groupings and limiting outdoor play areas to one group at a time. Essential visitors, including families dropping off and picking up, are also limited to the lobby and nonessential visitors are not permitted in the center, McKeown said.
While new to Greenwich, McKeown noted Bright Horizons has been operating child care centers for over 30 years. The company operates over 1,000 child care centers worldwide, and its program operates year-round from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"Success at work and home go hand in hand," McKeown said. "That's why we've created a program dedicated to both, with convenient schedules and carefully planned hours designed for today's working families."
According to McKeown, the goal in every Bright Horizons classroom is to help children do more than learn and cultivate a joy of learning. The company's curriculum and approach to education also enables teachers to tailor activities toward each child's specific talents and needs.
