GREENWICH, CT — Two new cases of the coronavirus were reported at two Greenwich public schools over the weekend, bring the total number of student cases since the start of school to seven, according to district officials.

District spokesperson Jonathan Supranowitz confirmed Tuesday a positive case of the virus was reported at both Central Middle School and North Mianus School over the weekend. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The district updates a tracker on its website every Friday, which indicates a total of five students have tested positive for the virus since the start of the school year in September. That total does not include the two new cases, as both were reported after the tracker was updated Friday, Supranowitz said.
