GREENWICH, CT — Rumors of New England Patriots legend Tom Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, moving to Greenwich have resurfaced.

According to a new report by the WEEI sports radio network, radio personality Greg Hill revealed on his show Tuesday that Brady and his family have already moved out of their home in Brookline, Mass., and into a recently purchased home in Greenwich.

Hill dropped the rumor after informing his listeners that the Brady suite at Gillette Stadium, where Bundchen typically watches her husband play football, has been cleaned out.

In an audio clip from his show, Hill said the Brady family "had already moved in and were living in a purchased home in Greenwich."

First Selectman Fred Camillo, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, said he was delighted to welcome Brady and his family to Greenwich, despite the Patriots' rivalry with his favorite team.

"While he does not wear the black and gold, we in town are happy and honored that one of pro football all time greatest quarterbacks has chosen Greenwich as his new home," Camillo said in an email to Patch. "I look forward to calling him a fellow resident and wish him nothing but success in all future endeavors, except when he plays the Steelers. "

If true, the move comes at an interesting time for Brady, who is set to become a free agent for the first time in his NFL career on March 18. While he can re-sign with the Patriots at any point, he is unable to speak with other teams prior to March 16, according to WEEI.

Rumors of the six-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback and his family moving to Greenwich first surfaced over the summer when Patch reported that Brady and Bündchen were house hunting in Greenwich, as well as Alpine, N.J., while looking at schools in New York City. Brady and Bundchen looked at homes with a lot of room for their kids to play, Fox Business reported in August.

The Boston Globe offered this explanation in August as to why Brady and Bundchen may be eyeing homes in Greenwich and New Jersey. "An elegant suburban mansion would mean more room for the couple's three growing kids — Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian — and their large extended family."

Things got complicated in November when WEEI was first to report the famous couple had purchased a home in Connecticut. Celebrity real estate website Homesoftherich.net also released details of the reported purchase.

Shortly after, real estate company Compass said the $9 million mansion referenced in the report had not been purchased by the power couple.

"I don't know if they bought in Greenwich, but according to information I have, Tom and Gisele did not purchase the house that is referred to/shown in homesoftherich.net which is a Compass listing," Ashley Murphy, who works for Compass, told Patch in November.

It is unclear from the information provided during Hill's show whether the purchase was made recently or when reports surfaced in the fall.

After losing to the Tennessee Titans in a wild card game on Jan. 4, Brady ended his 20th season in the league, all of which have been with the New England Patriots. He is the only NFL player to win six Super Bowls.
