The Greenwich Representative Town Meeting approved $2.6 million for repair work at North Mianus School on Thursday night.

GREENWICH, CT — During a special meeting on Thursday night, the Representative Town Meeting approved $2.6 million for repair work on North Mianus School. The school was damaged by a ceiling collapse and flooding in February. The vote to approve the funds was 187-0 with four abstentions.
Coupled with Thursday's approval, a total of about $4.6 million has been allocated for the repair work since the incident.
Several grades have been displaced because of the ceiling collapse and flood damage, as some students have been attending school in other buildings throughout the District since February. Repair work is expected to stretch into the fall of this year.

In total, alternate-space related costs total $1.7 million. Specific relocation plans have not been announced.
