Snow Emerges In CT's Weather Forecast For First Time: New Details
If you love snow, you'll love this weather forecast for CT. Here is the latest information on our first chance for accumulating snow.
CONNECTICUT — It's time to make sure your snowblower works and to move your shovels to an easily accessible part of your garage as Connecticut could be looking at some snow late Thursday into Friday.
It's far from a sure thing as one computer model that tracks forecasts several days out shows the snow, rain and ice staying just south of Connecticut but another model shows the snow, ice and rain blanketing the state late Thursday and early Friday.
So as they say, we need to stay tuned but also be prepared for the worst.

Snow looks like a decent bet Thursday night/Friday. Euro Ensembles showing greatest odds (~40%) of >3" of snow in the hills and lowest odds along the shoreline (~10%). Makes sense at this juncture. Still a couple days to watch it. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/2x2webTLYk

As for the here and now, it's a chilly forecast, with temps around 50 all week before a big drop on Friday. Low temperatures will be in the 30s at the coast and below freezing in northern sections of the state.
The National Weather Service says there will be a chance of showers late tonight into Tuesday with the best chance being across southeast Connecticut. Highs will be warmer on Tuesday with readings in the mid 50s to around 60. "A cold front will sweep away the moisture on Wednesday, and bring another round of chilly temperatures, the weather service states.

"For the end of the week, we`ll be watching the development of a southern stream storm which is expected to develop across the southern Plains and may bring a chance of rain or snow Thursday
into Friday," the weather service adds.

The rumors are true. There’s a chance for the first flakes of the season late Thursday into Friday. Still low confidence at this point. But we’ll be watching closely. It is November, after all. And whether it’s this storm or the next...Winter is coming.

It's chilly this morning with widespread frost out there all across the state. Definitely bring a jacket this morning as temperatures won't rise too much during the day. At least it'll be sunny! Things may get interesting in the weather department by the end of this week... pic.twitter.com/yJc3mVems1

Snow looking more likely late week. All models have some flakes for SNE. Even the unenthused GFS. The Euro & Canadian all in. Watch for mixing S&E if right. And very cold for Friday and the weekend. pic.twitter.com/QiWmM4yvCI

Yup. We're watching the *potential* for accumulating snow Thur-Friday. The Euro (pictured below) is alllll in, but this is not a certain forecast by ANY stretch, and it will change. What we do know is that we'll see multiple shots of cold air for the first half of November #nbcct pic.twitter.com/d8fzw0mmW9
