Spring classes at the Greenwich Art Society

Adult and Children classes

The Greenwich Art Society Studio School, as the oldest (and only) visual arts program in Greenwich taught by professional artists, continues to offer traditional, foundational visual arts education.

As demonstrated by our adult students’ works, I have seen the following skills successfully and consistently developed:

• Excellence in learning the materials, techniques, and concepts behind the medium studied painting, mixed media, drawing, and figure drawing

• Assimilation of current art trends and art history as a means of understanding individual vision

Our children’s program offers innovative approaches in teaching children how to explore their creativity through the visual arts while learning important visual and motor skills currently lacking in general school programs as well as offering foundational training to young, aspiring artists ages 6-12 years old.

In addition to our diverse program foundation program, we have started a series of Thursday night lectures in Professional Development for Artists as a way of broadening the scope of what we offer our member/artists as they continue to build their art careers.

See our 2018 Spring schedule for a full list of Course offerings for both children and adults -- GreenwichArtSociety.org for details.
