Thunderstorms, Rain Leads To Flood Advisory For Fairfield County
The National Weather Service has just issued an advisory for the area.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for southern parts of Fairfield County until 1:45 p.m.
The weather service said at 11:40 a.m. radar showed "heavy rain due to thunderstorms. One hour rainfall rates of one half to one inch are expected. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area."
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Yonkers, Bridgeport, Stamford, Norwalk, New Rochelle, White Plains, Port Chester, New Canaan, Rye, Fairfield, Greenwich, Stratford, Trumbull, Harrison and Westport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
"Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely. A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent."
