GREENWICH, CT — As a result of ferry service disruption to Great Captain Island, the Town of Greenwich announced on Thursday that service has been extended to Island Beach every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Fridays beginning July 9.

In the event of inclement weather, residents are asked to call the Ferry Information Hotline at 203-618-7672.

The Islander II Ferry experienced a mechanical breakdown on June 24, which suspended service. On June 29, the Islander II vessel arrived at the shipyard for repair.
