'Unsettled Weather' Dominates, Bad News For Halloween In CT

CONNECTICUT — If you're looking for a good weather day this week then enjoy Monday because after today the weather goes downhill for the rest of the week. And sadly, Halloween looks rainy as there is currently an 80 to 90 percent chance of rain during the evening hours.

WTNH News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons says, "Lots of cloudiness for the day today but it will be dry with high temperatures up around 60 degrees. There will be some sunny breaks too! Overcast tomorrow with a sprinkle or brief shower, it will not be a washout. Cloudy with afternoon rain on Wednesday with high temperatures in the 60s. I am not excited about the Halloween forecast. It does look wet & it will finally clear Friday afternoon!"

The National Weather Service says "Clouds will move in from the east during this evening, with a slight chance of very light rain and drizzle developing. The cloudy and unsettled weather will continue into Tuesday. There will be a chance of rain and drizzle with temperatures mainly in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

"Warmer air will then begin to move in Tuesday night resulting in light rain and drizzle, along with areas of fog. Temperatures will climb above normal for Tuesday night into Wednesday with the unsettled weather continuing into the mid week," the weather service states.
