The Employee Recognition Awards Committee selected Nazario and Piombino, who were jointly nominated by Environmental Planner Kevin Magee, Zoning Enforcement Officer Erin Mannix, and Town Planner George Kral.
Magee, Mannix, and Kral nominated both for having “worked tirelessly as a team during these difficult times to keep the Land Use Offices in Town Hall South open and serving the public. They have been the frontline staff in the building for customer service for the last year. They have also taken the time to help train new temporary and full-time administrative staff.”

“In working during COVID, both Michelle and Lisa have been working full-time in the office since the reopening Town Hall South in June 2020. They had to navigate the increased work demands of virtual meetings which required meeting materials to be scanned an uploaded to the town web page for public viewing of the documents. We have depended on them to help implement the changes to our Commission’s functions while maintaining compliance with Executive Orders and changes to our statutory requirements,” the three supervisors added.
“Without Michelle and Lisa’s dedication and willingness to address the needs of various departments, we would have seen a decline in land use service during one of the busiest seasons in history.”
