Big Crowd At Panera Bread In Guilford On Opening Day

GUILFORD, CT - If a jammed parking lot is a good indicator then it looks like Panera Bread at Guilford Commons shopping complex is in for a good run.

A drive through of the parking lot on opening afternoon Wednesday saw cars filling up Guilford’s newest hot spot.

Besides Panera, the town's biggest shopping complex recently added Mattress Firm (a move from Route 1 near Exit 59), and Pure Barre, an exercise studio.

The operating hours for Panera will be Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

On Wednesday the first 100 customers received a coupon for a Panera classic. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at 3 p.m.
