Coronavirus Case Reported At Baldwin Middle: Superintendent

Schools superintendent Dr. Paul Freeman confirmed that there's a positive case of COVID-19 at Baldwin Middle School. Schools to remain open.

GUILFORD, CT — Another positive case of COVID-19 has been reported in Guilford schools.

Superintendent Dr. Paul Freeman confirmed that a Baldwin Middle School student has tested positive for the disease. The student was last in school on Nov. 5 and rode the bus to school that day.

Freeman said the student was told to stay home in isolation for 10 days and that anyone who is a "close contact" were contacted and some sent home from the school. Close contacts are told to quarantine for 14 days.

Last week, a case that was initially reported to be positive was in fact negative. Still, the case count stands at six.

To date, there are reported cases at Guilford Lakes and Melissa Jones elementary schools and Guilford High School. This is the first case at Baldwin.
