Guilford Crews Respond Quickly to Last Week’s Fierce Storm
Police, fire and public works responded to multiple calls for help during the torrential rain that hit Guilford in a short period of time.
GUILFORD, CT - The town of Guilford has posted the following note referring to the response to last week’s storm on its Facebook page.
“After last week's storm, the town reacted quickly and decisively. The Fire Department responded to over 80 plus incidents during the first three days.
“They ranged from water conditions, water rescues of people trapped in their vehicles, fire / carbon monoxide alarms, and a structure fire. Public works made 15 significant road repairs, including washed out culverts and sink holes that were undermining some roads.”
