The suspect has been arrested by Norwalk police in connection with the case.

NORWALK, CT — The CEO of a New Haven-based door company is accused of taking $8,000 from the Notre Dame Convalescent Home in Norwalk for work he never performed, writes The Hour.

Guilford resident Jeffrey Haversat, 52, who is the CEO of Eastern Fire Door, was arrested on a warrant Monday charging him with third-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear.

Haversat reportedly tried to return the money this week, but for months had avoided police attempts to find him. He was held in lieu of bail of $150,500 and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 25.
