More than 10 months ago, a man was killed and a woman was injured when their Harley Davidson was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Route 80 and White Wood Lane in North Branford. The accident was investigated by Officer David Sheehan under the supervision of Sgt. Mark Flanagan.
On April 26, Archie Bailey, 69, of Guilford, was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, according to North Branford police logs. Bailey's court date is set for May 9.Â
According to the New Haven Register, "The driver of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle, 66-year-old Joseph Worrell of Westbrook, died of his injuries. A passenger was severely injured but survived. Worrell, a Vietnam veteran who worked at Pratt & Whitney, was reportedly pinned underneath the pickup truck."
