Guilford Students Not In Favor Of Medical Marijuana Facility: Report
Students, Coalition speaking out against efforts to open a medical marijuana dispensary.

A group of students from Guilford High School along with volunteers from a community coalition attended a recent planning and zoning commission meeting to speak out about their objections to a medical marijuana facility, according to a report by the Guilford Courier.
Currently, there are no plans for such a facility to be built in Guilford, the Guilford Courier’s Jack Kramer reports.
Bluepoint Wellness of Connecticut in Branford has been operating a medical marijuana dispensary for a year to properly qualified patients.

Dana Hilmer, prevention coordinator for Developmental Assets for Youth (DAY), said she believes it is a public health issue, the Guilford Courier reports.
The Guilford Developmental Assets for Youth (DAY) is a community action coalition that works to reduce high-risk behaviors in youth, according to the DAY’s website.
