Jacob's Beach in Guilford Gets a New Look
The improvements to the beach will see larger crowds enjoying the space.

Jacob’s Beach in Guilford has seen several improvements, Jack Kramer reports from The Source.
Seven Adirondack chairs and three benches worth $7,350 have been donated in memory of Guilford citizens.
“The Parks & Recreation Commission is very appreciative of all the people and organizations who have purchased the benches and chairs,” Parks & Recreation Director Rick Maynard told The Source.

The town used a $500,000 state grant for other improvements to the beach that included upgrades to drainage, landscaping, a parking lot median and the addition of two showers and water fountains, the paper reports. In addition, 15 trees were planted on the property.
Maynard told the paper with the upgraded beach up to 100 guests could be enjoying the area compared to previous crowds of 30 to 40 people.
