New Burger Joint MOOYAH Coming To Guilford Commons This Summer
The Texas-based chain MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes serves up made-to-order burgers, beef, veggie and turkey, hand-cut fries and shakes.
GUILFORD, CT — Soon, they'll be a new burger in town.
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is a Plano, Texas-based chain that specializes in made-to-order "better" fresh certified Angus beef, black-bean veggie burgers and turkey burgers, beef hot dogs, salads, hand-cut fries and milk shakes.
The chain serves what are called "lifestyle burgers" and include Paleo, Keto, Vegan, Low-Cal, and gluten-free.

Nesh and Kal Patel, brothers-in-law and business partners, have signed a franchise agreement to bring MOOYAH Burgers to Guilford.
The new burger joint will open in Guilford Commons, 1919 Boston Post Road, in August.

Guilford's MOOYAH will feature the brand’s enhanced redesign with new dining zones and seating arrangements, purposeful third-party and to-go shelving, a closed kitchen, digital menu boards and a new logo, according to a media release.

Nesh Patel has a background in electronics and communications and has worked as a manager in the franchise food industry.
Kal Patel has a background in computer science and worked in the aerospace industry.
The pair owns a liquor store along the Shoreline and wanted to explore the food business because of Nesh's background and their experience as business partners.
According to the release, MOOYAH president Tony Darden said the brand has the "capacity to add five locations in Connecticut, which would bring 125 new jobs to the state."
