Obituary: Alice (DeBay) Melillo, 67, Formerly of Guilford
Alice was a wonderful mother, friend and wife. The beach was her favorite place, she loved to spend time with her toes in the sand.
Sunday, March 7, 2021 Alice (DeBay) Melillo of Preston formerly longtime resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at her home with her family by side. Wife of Allen P. Norden. Mrs. Melillo was born in New Haven on April 25, 1953, daughter of the late Albert DeBay and Julia (Clore) DeBay. Loving mother of Meghan Sposato and Matthew Melillo. Predeceased by sister Theresa Commea.
Before retirement Alice had worked as Therapeutic Recreation Director, she immensely enjoyed going to work every day enhancing the life of her residents, as she considered them her extended family. Alice was a wonderful mother, friend and wife, the glue that kept her family together.

Always lending a helping hand to anyone who needed her. She enjoyed spending time in Florida, visiting with family. The beach was her favorite place, she loved to spend time with her toes in the sand.
Due to the ongoing Pandemic services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knots of Love or Hatsgiving.org. These organizations provide hats free of charge to Cancer patients.
