On Monday, June 7, 2021, Frank Thomas Kearney of Boca Raton, FL formerly of Guilford, CT and Yonkers, NY passed away in Florida. Husband of Beverly (Roberts) Kearney of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Frank was born in Yonkers, NY on March 18, 1929. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Frank A. and Mary (Summerville) Kearney; his first wife, Irene (Casey) Kearney; his sister, Lynne Ryan; and twin sister, Jean Allison. Frank is survived by four daughters, Maureen Mamet (Ted, predeceased) of Hull, MA; Jeanmarie Roberson (Alan) of Fairfax, VA; Marilyn Lamberta (Charlie) of Bayside, NY and Dianne Vanadia of Tuckahoe, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Katelyn, Marissa, Lauren, Laura, Michael, Elizabeth, Michelle, Brian, Matthew, and Thomas. Frank is also survived by his sister-in-law, Katherine Roberts Berndes and nephew, Hans Berndes.

Frank was a gifted athlete, playing baseball both in high school and college. He loved golf and the outdoors, enjoyed photography, and took up painting in retirement. Before retirement, Frank worked in County government for 36 years, retiring as Public Works Commissioner for Westchester County. He began his career as a civil engineer for the New York Railroad.Frank was a devoted husband and father, and friend to many. He will be remembered as a true gentleman, and for his charm and wit.

Friends and family are invited to Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford on Friday, June 18 at 10 AM. COVID regulations for Church – MASKS MUST BE WORN. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, 375 Boston St, Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 ; www.alz.org
