Obituary: Jill Barbara DeBlasio, 53, of Guilford

Wednesday, May 19, 2021 Jill Barbara DeBlasio, long time resident of Guilford passed away peacefully at CT Hospice, Branford surrounded by her loving family. Jill was born in Hartford on June 23rd, 1967, daughter of John and Barbara (Owca) DeBlasio. Loving mother of Michael and Alexandra Scialla of Guilford. Sister of Jeffrey DeBlasio. Predeceased by her grandparents, John and Anna Owca, and John and Anne DeBlasio.

Jill was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, Briarwood College, Central University, and the University of New Haven. She taught for over 20 years in the Branford school district as an elementary and ESL teacher. She enjoyed relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Cooper.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. George Church, Guilford. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 e Main St, Branford, CT 06405.
