Opening Date Set For Panera Bread At Guilford Commons
Work is wrapping up, hiring is ongoing and the opening date is near for Panera Bread.
GUILFORD, CT - Wednesday is opening day for Panera Bread at Guilford Commons shopping complex, a company spokesman confirmed in an email Monday morning.
Work on the restaurant has ramped up in recent days.
A check at the site Monday found a half-dozen trucks parked at the site working on various aspects. There was also a sign looking for workers for the restaurant.

Besides Panera, the town's biggest shopping complex recently added Mattress Firm (a move from Route 1 near Exit 59), and Pure Barre, an exercise studio.
The operating hours will be Sunday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, July 3, the first 100 customers will receive a coupon for a Panera classic. A formal ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at 3 p.m.
