Cancelled: 2016 Hartford 4th of July Fireworks Details

HARTFORD, CT- Update: the event s cancelled, read more below from Riverfront Recapture:

We are greatly disappointed to announce the cancellation of this year’s Riverfest fireworks and celebration of Independence Day, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 9. The City of Hartford and Town of East Hartford will not be able to cover the significant cost of police and fire services, as they traditionally do. We understand the current fiscal challenges facing the municipalities, but without their assistance we are unable to hold the event.The Riverfront Food Truck Festival will proceed as planned, July 7, 8 and 9.
