Farmington fine artist Kate Emery is collaborating with Simsbury-based For All Ages to raise funds to support this nonprofit's mission of fostering connections between the generations to end loneliness and ageism. Emery will donate 75 percent of proceeds from the auction of her original painting, Spring Sunrise, to For All Ages, and bids may be placed online at KateEmery.com/auctions through 8 p.m. on February 28, 2021. All participating bidders will receive a free For All Ages coffee mug in the mail.

Emery's painting of sheep and lambs sharing sweet moments in the barnyard pasture at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington "beautifully evokes friendship and togetherness, connection and belonging, and it has a joyful color palette," says For All Ages founder Deb Bibbins. The winning bidder will bring home this 14x18-inch oil on canvas, valued at $700, in a ready-to-hang frame.

For All Ages is a Connecticut 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to reduce loneliness and isolation, improve health and well-being, and change negative perceptions about aging through intergenerational connection. Since launching in 2019, the organization has connected more than 530 youth and younger adults with older adults during more than 3,300 hours of programming.
