The Bushnell Announces First New Show Since Shutdown
ALTON BROWN LIVE: BEYOND THE EATS COMING TO HARTFORD ON FEB. 22, 2022

HARTFORD, CT – After delighting Hartford audiences in 2014 with his culinary wit and wisdom, The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts is happy to announce the return of Alton Brown with his new show Alton Brown Live: Beyond The Eats on February 22, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public on April 30, 2021.
Brown created a new form of entertainment – the live culinary variety show – with his “Edible Inevitable Tour” and “Eat Your Science,” which played in over 200 cities with more than 350,000 fans in attendance.
Brown says fans can expect “more cooking, more comedy, more music and more potentially dangerous science stuff.” Critics and fans have raved about the interactive components of Brown’s shows. He warns “Prepare for an evening unlike any other and if I call for volunteers… think twice.”

This is the first new, live performance The Bushnell has announced since it was forced to close its doors and cancel or reschedule dozens of shows due to the pandemic.
“This is one of several early signs that we’re getting back to normal,” said Ric Waldman, VP of Programming at The Bushnell. “Seeing popular celebrities, such as Alton Brown, booking their return to the road and live entertainment is very, very encouraging. And, of course, we’re thrilled to bring Alton Brown back to Hartford.”
