CT Judge Dies While On Vacation
The legal community is mourning after the death of Judge Kevin Dubay, who was well-regarded for his fairness and legal prowess.
HARTFORD, CT — Hartford State Superior Court Judge Kevin Dubay, 65, died while on vacation in Anguilla. Dubay was on vacation with family and friends and died after snorkeling, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune.
"He spent his final days with people he loved, enjoying an island that held many fond memories," according to his obituary, which was published in the Hartford Courant.
Dubay was an alumnus of the University of Connecticut Law School and had lived in Hartford since his time as a student there, according to his obituary published in the Hartford Courant.

He was corporation counsel for the City of Hartford before being named to the bench in 2001. As a judge he had a reputation for being fair and and able to handle complex legal cases.
Outside of being a judge he enjoyed spending time with his family, Tuesday night softball, Wednesday night hoops and cooking. He is also survived by two daughters who were the "greatest joy" of his life, according to his obituary.
