  • Kick off Summer with Curious George presented by PBS Kids

Saturday & Sunday, June 24 & 25, 11AM-3PM

Kick off the summer with a trip to the tropics INSIDE the Connecticut Science Center! Meet Curious George, see LIVE butterflies in the NEW Butterfly Encounter, create your own butterfly crafts, and much more. Most activities are included FREE with General Admission or Connecticut Science Center Membership. There is an extra ticket required for Butterfly Encounter.   • Nautilus LIVE! Theater Show

in the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Foundation Science Theater

2PM Daily, Monday – Friday, June 27- September 1, 2017

Dr. Robert Ballard’s deep-sea explorations come alive this summer at the Connecticut Science Center’s Nautilus Live! Theater Show. Visitors are transported to the unknown depths of the world’s oceans. Join Dr. Ballard and his Corps of Exploration aboard the Exploration Vessel (E/V) Nautilus as they explore Earth’s last great uncharted territory.

When the E/V Nautilus is at sea, telepresence technology brings live video and two-way ship-to-shore communications to the Nautilus Live Theater Show. You’ll have a front-row seat as the Corps of Exploration searches for undiscovered natural wonders and lost chapters of human history in the deep water regions off the west cost of Southern California and up the coast of Canada. The 30-minute live show connects with E/V Nautilus Monday- Friday at 2PM and includes a 10-minute Q&A with the crew. A separate ticket is required. $7 Adults/$6 Youth (Ages 3-17)/$6 Seniors/$5 Members. General Admission Combo Ticket pricing is also available. Visit CTScienceCenter.org/movies for more information.

  • Wildlife Encounters Animal Show: Tropical Adventures

Saturdays and Sundays, July 8-30, 2017.

Show times are 11AM, 12NOON, 2PM, & 3PM

In the Maximilian E. and Marion O. Hoffman Science Theater

Back by popular demand, the Wildlife Encounters Theater Show will introduce you to animals you’ve never seen before. Have a great time at the tropical-themed animal show with world-class animal presenters. This fun show will keep you on the edge of your seat with larger than life animals. When you’re done, continue your tropical adventure with a visit to our new Butterfly Encounter. Animals may vary by show. A separate ticket is required. $7 Adults/$6 Youth (Ages 3-17)/$6 Seniors/$5 Members. General Admission Combo Ticket pricing is also available. Visit CTScienceCenter.org/movies for more information.

  • Summer Vacation Exploration Camps

July 10 – August 18, 2017

Kids have FUN on school vacation at the Connecticut Science Center! Your child will love these hands-on day camps filled with fun and engaging science. Campers ages 6-12 will experience hands-on science enrichment through fun and engaging activities. Camps include structured activities with our STEM Educators, as well as supervised free time to explore the Science Center's galleries and exhibits.

Summer Vacation Exploration Camp Dates:

  • July 10-14: Droid Design Session A
  • July 17-21: Seven Wonders
  • July 24-28: Droid Design Session B
  • July 31-August 4: Enchanted Engineering
  • August 7-11: Earth Unlocked
  • August 14-18: Best of Science

We offer week-long programs in the summer. Each camp's theme helps develop science concepts, guiding campers to a greater understanding of science material and its application to the real world. Kids can explore a different science theme at each camp!

Registration Fees are $295 per week for Science Center members and Corporate members $310 per week for employees of businesses in downtown Hartford and $325 per week for non-members. Prices per week will increase after May 28. Drop off is 8 AM- 8:45AM and pick up is at 4PM/ After care is available for an additional fee. Register online at CTScienceCenter.org/programs/camps
