East Hartford Cracks Top 5 of Final Boys Soccer Poll

The Hornets made a surprising run as the 19th seed in the Class LL tournament, making it to the semifinals.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A Class LL semifinal appearance propelled East Hartford High School to the fourth spot in the final Class LL-L boys soccer coaches poll for 2018.

The unheralded Hornets, who emerged from the No. 19 seed to make the semifinals, placed behind only Glastonbury, Class L champion Daniel Hand and LL runner-up Hall in the final balloting.

Class M champion Plainville, the Cinderella team which rallied from the No. 23 seed to stun undefeated and top-ranked Ellington in the championship game, was the top vote-getter in Classes M-S.
