Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank Unite
The Boards of Directors of both Foodshare and Connecticut Foodbank voted to approve the union between the state's two largest food banks.
It's official! The Boards of Directors of both Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank voted this morning to approve the union between the state’s two largest nonprofit anti-hunger organizations.
“This is a great day for the state of Connecticut. The merging of Foodshare and Connecticut Food Bank into one statewide organization will serve to better support our neighbors who are struggling - and I am confident it will move the needle forward towards a hunger-free Connecticut. These organizations separately looked out for our residents during their greatest times of need, and now they will combine their resources as one organization to provide even more support,” said Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont.
