Hartford Man Charged After MA Police Chase

A Hartford man was one of two people charged following a state police chase in Massachusetts.

STURBRIDGE, MA — Two Connecticut men are facing numerous charges after they led Massachusetts State Police on a chase Tuesday, according to WTNH. The incident began when a trooper on Route 84 east in Sturbridge spotted a black Acura with no front license plate.

The trooper attempted to stop the Acura after it made erratic lane changes and an illegal U-turn, but the vehicle fled, according to WTNH. Police deployed a helicopter to follow the car and eventually arrested two men: Oscar Santiago, 25, of Hartford, and Omar Santiago, 25, of New Britain.

They were charged with numerous motor vehicle violations including reckless operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage crash, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
