Vietnamese restaurant Banh Meee is closing its Capitol Avenue location but keeping its second store open.
HARTFORD, CT — Banh Meee will close its Capitol Avenue location in Hartford, according to The Courant. The Vietnamese restaurant opened in February 2018.
The Capitol Avenue location temporarily closed in July following a slump in sales. A second location that opened earlier this year at 126-130 Ann Uccello St. will remain open.
Banh Meee is modeled after noodle shops in Manhattan and Hong Kong, serving pho, banh mi, bubble tea, egg rolls, and more

Banh Meee posted on Facebook: "We had to make some hard choices during this time, tonight was the hardest because tonight we transfer the ownership of our capitol store to a new owner. Capitol ave has been our home for over 2 years and we will miss it dearly. The new owner is also a nice family and a first time small business owner. They will bring a new concept to the location and area. We wish them the best of luck and know that with passion and drive they will turn the storefront located on 399 capitol ave into something amazing like how banh meee was. We will still keep our downtown location open so we haven’t left hartford."
