Home Sales In Greater Hartford Jump 36.3 Percent

The real estate market's strong performance this year continued last month.

HARTFORD, CT — Home sales in the Hartford area surged in October due to low mortgage rates and the pandemic motivating buyers. There were 747 single-family homes sold last month, up 36.3% from the year before, The Hartford Business Journal reported.

Median home prices increased from $247,500 last year to $280,500 this year, a 13% jump. This year, sales have increased 12.5% and median prices have gone up 9.8%
