Homicide Victim Identified By East Hartford Police [UPDATED]
Police are searching for a man believed to have committed the shooting, who fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

EAST HARTFORD, CT — A man was shot to death in a parking lot near Elm and Olmstead streets Saturday morning, and police are seeking a man suspected of committing the shooting, who fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
The shooting took place around 7:20 a.m., and police found a victim suffering from two apparent gunshot wounds. CPR was performed, and the man was rushed to a local hospital where he died, Lt. Joshua Litwin said.
The victim has been identified as William Gonzalez, 35, of East Hartford.

Investigation determined a man, possibly Hispanic and standing about 6 feet tall, fled the area in a dark blue or black vehicle. East Hartford detectives are still investigating at the scene, Litwin said.
