Minor League Baseball Season Canceled, Says Yard Goats GM
The 2020 season has officially been canceled by Minor League Baseball, according to the general manager of the Hartford Yard Goats.

HARTFORD, CT — Professional baseball will not be played in Connecticut this year, as the 2020 season has officially been canceled by Minor League Baseball, the governing body for all professional baseball teams in the United States, Canada, and the Dominican Republic that are affiliated with Major League Baseball clubs through their farm systems.
Hartford Yard Goats general manager Mike Abramson sent an announcement about the cancellation late Tuesday afternoon. The Yard Goats are the Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the Colorado Rockies.
Minor League Baseball president/CEO Pat O'Conner confirmed the cancellation on milb.com.

"These are unprecedented times for our country and our organization as this is the first time in our history that we've had a summer without Minor League Baseball played," O'Conner said. "While this is a sad day for many, this announcement removes the uncertainty surrounding the 2020 season and allows our teams to begin planning for an exciting 2021 season of affordable family entertainment."
Fans who purchased tickets for a 2020 Hartford Yard Goats home game will soon be contacted by a team representative, according to Abramson.
