Obit: Howard Jefferson Jr., 71, Of Hartford

Howard C. Jefferson, age 71 of Hartford, CT, departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Howard was born on November 1, 1947 in Hartford to the late George Henry Jefferson, Sr. and the late Earline “Peaches” (Brown) Jefferson.

He was an avid drum player and basketball player in his years at Hartford High. He was a lover of jazz music and family. He was predeceased by his sisters, Nadine Taylor and Joy-Lynn and brother Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memory, seven brothers, Anthony (Carla), Herbert, Paul (Dara), Kenneth, Brett, all of CT; George, Jr. (Erma) of NY and Andrew of CA.; four sisters, Delores Arango, Reesa Cannada (Sam), Kathleen Harwood of FL and Muriel (Bro) of MA; as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

A celebration of Howard’s life will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service, 94 Granby Street, Bloomfield, CT at 11:00AM with a visitation from 10:00AM – 11:00AM.
