PA Man Indicted On Drug Charges In Hartford

A PA man has been indicted on charges that he dealt fentanyl in Hartford.

HARTFORD, CT — An Allentown, PA man has been indicted on charges that he distributed fentanyl in Hartford, according to a statement from federal prosecutors. Regino Morillo-Espinal, 38, was charged with possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl.

According to prosecutors, law enforcement identified Morillo-Espinal as a trafficker of wholesale quantities of fentanyl. Investigators stopped Morillo-Espinal’s car on I-91 South on March 26 after he had traveled from Allentown to multiple locations in Hartford.

A police search of the vehicle revealed about two kilograms of suspected fentanyl.

The charge against Morillo-Espinal carries a mandatory minimum prison term of 10 years and a maximum term of life.
