I-84 In Hartford Reopens After Protesters Shut It Down
The shut down occurred just before 6 p.m.

HARTFORD, CT — Interstate 84 was closed down in both directions for about an hour due to protesters on the highway.
The closure was between exits 48 and 49. The highway reopened at 6:40 p.m.
Hundreds marched throughout the state this weekend protesting the death of George Floyd at the hands of a police officer in Minneapolis.

"Protesters have entered I84 in Hartford at x48. The highway is shut down. We are asking the protesters to disperse the area. This shut down will affect those medical personnel and ambulances attempting to get to St Francis Hospital," CT State Police said.
